What does it mean to be beautiful?

inkbox is proud to collaborate with STAND Beautiful, a powerful movement, born out of a difficult time in 17-year-old Chloe Howard's life. When she was just a freshman, Chloe was physically assaulted at her high school. This act of violence and bullying didn't come from anything she said or did, but it came from something she had no control over: her clubfoot.

Chloe was born with this severe foot deformity, but her parents were just happy to have a breathing baby girl. After multiple surgeries, braces, and physical therapy, Chloe was able to stand tall. However, that didn't stop her bullies. Following her assault, for the first time in her life Chloe felt ashamed of what made her unique. She felt worthless and became depressed. A change came when she met musician and humanitarian Bono, who encouraged her to share her story and rise above her past. Chloe found her voice and started writing "beautiful" across her scarred foot, a daily reminder that our differences should be celebrated.

In collaboration with STAND Beautiful, inkbox has released a new design with Chloe's handwriting, the same message she would write over her scar to lift her spirits. 1$ of every sale will be donated to CURE International, an organization that helps children with clubfeet.

"We're each perfect in our own imperfect way." Chloe Howard

Let's help Chloe re-define what "normal" is in today's day and age. "Normal" doesn't exist to Chloe - she says that we all have a part of us that's irregular, dysfunctional or malformed - whether it's on the inside or outside.

“I want to empower people of all ages to embrace their uniqueness and boldly face their beautiful selves. This small step has the potential to change the world, one person at a time.” Chloe Howard
