Easy-Follow Instructions
Application Time: 1-2 Minutes
Leave on For: 1 Hour
Tattoo Will Darken in: 24 Hours
Tattoo Lasts: Up to 10 Days
*Not intended for use on face, lips, eyes, neck, upper chest, intimate areas, irritated or damaged skin, areas with excess hair, over scars, moles, or stretchmarks.
1. Prime
Using the Primer Wipe, exfoliate the area you wish to place your tattoo for 30 seconds, let dry completely.
2. Place
Peel off the tattoo backing and place the tattoo on your skin, sticky side down. Find the peelable corner and remove the paper border. Press down to ensure it’s totally adhered.
3. Peel
After one hour, peel off the applicator. The ink will initially be blue/green depending on your skin and develop into a blue/black within 24 hours (the resulting color will vary across different skin types!)
For best results avoid getting the tattooed area wet for six hours following application, sleep with clothes over your ink on the first night to avoid smudging or transfer, and stay moisturized/hydrated!
Removal
Wait for your tattoo to naturally fade on its own or use a light exfoliant such as our Tattoo Remover to speed up the process.
Stay Moisturized
Make your tattoo last longer by moisturizing daily and, we’re about to sound like your mother, drinking lots of water!
Avoid Exfoliation
Maintain the freshness of your ink by being mindful not to scrub the tattoo in the shower, while doing dishes, or while drying off.
Protect Against Smudging
Description: Wear loose clothing over your tattoo for the first night after application, and avoid excessive sweating in those first 24 hours to avoid smudging or transfer to other body parts.
Color
For Now Ink™ is designed for all skin tones, but the fully developed color is uniquely influenced by individual skin chemistry. The result can range from a blue/green, to a distinctive dark blue/black.
Fade
Our ink fades as your skin naturally regenerates! Some factors that determine how long your tattoo will last are:
Daily Activity
Avoid excessive heat and water, or friction that will cause exfoliation.
Placement
Placements on joints, areas with excess hair or dry skin, or parts of the body that are frequently washed (like wrists or hands) will generally fade faster. Pick smooth, flat areas and stay moisturized for best results!

How does Inkbox work?
Unlike most temp tattoos, Inkbox works by sinking into your skin and doesn’t just stick on top. Our tattoos are painless and super easy to apply - there are only a few steps involved! Once applied the ink reacts with the proteins and keratin in your skin, and darkens over 24-36 hours. For more on catalog designs, click here. To see how the Freehand Tattoo Marker works, click here.
How long does an Inkbox tattoo last? What if I want to remove it sooner?
Our tattoos can last up to 10 days. How long it lasts is highly dependent on where you apply your tattoo, your daily activities and skin’s moisture. Our ink gradually fades away as your skin naturally regenerates.
Want to remove it sooner? Lightly scrub your skin with an exfoliant (like warm saltwater or a body scrub). Be gentle with your skin - it may take a few tries to remove the ink entirely.
What color/shade will my tattoo be?
On the tattoo applicator, you’ll notice the ink is a light blue shade. This is how the tattoo will look when first applied to your skin - but don’t worry! Over 24-36 hours, your tattoo will darken into a tattoo-like shade - it’s all part of the Inkbox magic! For more on how our ink develops, click here.
Is Inkbox safe?
Yes, our For Now Ink™ formula has been tested for product safety to ensure it meets cosmetic regulatory requirements. Our tattoos are clinically tested. Check out a full list of ingredients here.
