Can we get a hallelujah for Mercury finally ending it’s retrograde?! It’s been a long ride, but it’s over folks. We are no longer allowed to blame our problems on this astrological event! Not quite sure what we’re talking about? Check out this article by The Telegraph, that gives you the low-down of why some blame Mercury’s retrograde for things not going their way. With this planetary phenomenon coming to an end, we thought it would be fitting to feature some space-themed inkbox tattoos. Space is wild and full of lots of undiscovered shenanigans, but that’s what makes it so fascinating! Black holes, planets, stars, floating gasses, meteors, the list goes on. Check out these 10 out of this world space tattoos!

Shay

UFO stands for an unidentified flying object that supposedly is used by extraterrestrial beings :O. Come to think of it whoever came up with the idea of foreign lifeforms flying in giant metal objects? Kinda obscure dontcha think?

Callisto

Did you know that Jupiter has 53 moons? The most well known are Europa, and Callisto, and the biggest moon in our solar system, Ganymede. These moons are so big you can see them with just a pair of binoculars.

Rochetta

We were going to include the little Einstein theme song but decided to spare you guys the misery of having that stuck in your head for the remainder of your day. So instead we’ll shoot you a quick rocket fact. Did you know they can travel at 22,000 miles per hour and carry up 6,000 pounds!? SPEED

Major Tom

Major Tom is inspired by the song written by David Bowie “Space Oddity”/ The song tells a story of a fictional astronaut who floats into space after cutting communication with Earth.

Roger

This tattoo is named after the fictional character, Roger Smith, an alien from American Dad.

Sagan

“In all the chaos there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order.” - Carl Jung. Talk about barz, is this quote from a famous psychiatrist or a modern day rapper?

Phoebe

One of the most recognizable planets,  due to its large rings surrounding the planet, Saturn is the second largest planet! Fun fact when Galileo first discovered Saturn, he believed its rings were two large moons stuck on either side.

Comet

Nothing says “spaced out” more than this design named Comet from our exclusive collection with artist Elesq.

Orrey

Our solar system starting from the furthest from the sun, to the closest. Look pretty neat seeing them lined up eh? For those who want to see the scale of our planets vs. our galaxy and pretty much universe check out the video below. Warning this may have you feeling like a speck of dust.

Mutnik

Thinking about the universe sometimes leads to people thinking further about existence and how things come to be. Like are we being controlled by a greater power? Could we all be living on a tiny speck like in Horton Hears a Who? So many questions so little time.

We’ve reached the end of our fave galactic tats, but do not fret we have lots of space-themed tattoos if you’re in need for more! You can also check out our custom platform to create your own if you’re looking for something more personalized.
