ARTWORK DESIGN REQUIREMENTS

• Uploaded graphic: Files should be at a resolution of 300dpi. See chart below for DPI and sizes. If you need to check the dpi on an image, go here.

• Not Accepted: Photos of tattoos on people or paper are not accepted for custom tattoo graphics.

• Semi-Permanent Tattoos: are produced with Black and White images only. They include no shading, so anything uploaded with shading will either turn black or not show up on the skin. Need help? Convert your artwork to black and white here.

UNDERSTANDING TATTOO FINISHES

• Semi-Permanent Tattoos – Our semi-permanent tattoo is the first of its kind. You can enjoy a more realistic looking tattoo on your skin for up to 14 days. You will need to follow our above instructions on uploading the best artwork for these tattoos as they only work with black and white images. Grayscale images with shading will not develop properly on the skin.

WHAT IS THE IMPRINT AND TRIM SIZE FOR THE TATTOOS?

For custom temporary tattoos up to 3" x 3" in size, we need a small space between your design and the edge of the paper. This space is about 1/8" on all sides, making your tattoo a bit smaller than the paper itself. For instance, a 2" x 2" tattoo will be about 1.75" x 1.75" in size. If you're ordering a larger tattoo sheet, like over 3" x 3", we'll need a slightly bigger space of about 3/8" around your design. When producing a temporary tattoo, only your design will be printed with the artwork you provided, fitting it specifically to the tattoo paper size ordered, less trim size margins. Your design is the only thing printed, not the entire size of the tattoo sheet. This eliminates any need to die cut the paper to the size of your tattoo.

HOW LONG DO TEMPORARY TATTOOS LAST?

Our Semi-Permanent tattoos last 7-14 days, depending on the size and placement of the tattoo. For the best application, be sure your skin is dry and free of oil, lotion, and makeup. Choose a smooth, hair-free area that doesn’t crease or stretch when you move. Once applied, we recommend not getting the area wet or moist for 12 hours.

Of course! Our tattoos are plant based, safe and non-toxic for all ages. We manufacture them right here in the U.S.A. using skin-safe, FDA-certified cosmetic-grade inks. All our tattoos meet US, Canadian, and European Union safety standards for cosmetic and toy products. Certification documentation is available upon request.
