Ripley's Aquarium
You know a place is worth checking out when The Weeknd brings his girlfriend (well, now ex-girlfriend [Selena Gomez]) there on a date. An excursion that’s interesting, informative AND Insta-worthy? Ripley’s Aquarium has it all. Find it at 288 Bremner Blvd.
The Rec Room
Who doesn’t look back fondly on memories of going to Chuck E. Cheese’s when they were little? At The Rec Room you can relive those memories as an adult. The 60,000 sq ft space isn’t just an arcade—it also includes a full restaurant and bar. Choose from over 100 arcade games, collect points, and pick out some dope prizes when you’re done. TIFF Lightbox
While this cinema receives most of its spotlight in September during the Toronto International Film Festival, it’s actually open to the public year-round. Movie buffs can check out the theatre’s International and Canadian film screenings, or attend workshops and events. TBH even TIFF’s gift shop is a good reason to stop by (it’s full of all sorts of cool, stylish Canadian-made goods). Find it at 350 King St West.
Sweet Jesus
Naturally we had to include some kind of tasty treat in this round-up of things to do. Find the sweetest of them all at Sweet Jesus, and your mouth will be #blessed. Not only does it look great on the ‘gram, but on a hot Toronto day, it’ll cool you right down and give you that sugar kick you’ll need to power through.
